Jaws vs Dracula starter set

Two complete 50-card decks, one built around Jaws and one around Dracula, each with an exclusive foil monster card. ICv2 confirms that much. The rest of the box as described in launch marketing - location cards, a playmat sheet, an instruction booklet with a condensed two-page quick-start - we have not independently verified, so treat it as marketing copy rather than a checklist.

The quick-start rules are separately confirmed and free: a standalone PDF in English, Spanish, and French, downloadable from the official rules hub if you want to read the rules before your copy arrives.

This is the whole game for two people. You and a friend open one box and play. In most TCGs the equivalent onboarding costs two separate deck purchases, so $27 for a complete two-player experience undercuts the genre’s usual entry price. If you are horror-curious and card-game-skeptical, this is the correct amount of money to risk finding out.

Starter-exclusive cards can become the annoying chase items of a game’s early life, the thing competitive players must buy the starter to get. Whether these two are cosmetic versions or mechanically unique is not confirmed. We will state it plainly here after launch, because it changes the box from "beginner product" to "everyone buys one."

What a starter historically is not: the strongest cards. Preconstructed decks teach the game; boosters and later sets power it up. Buy this to learn whether you like Hellbreak, not to compete.

Deck quality is unreviewable until it is in hands, the playmat is a sheet (read: paper or thin card, not a fabric mat) if it is in the box at all, and balance between the two decks is untested outside Ghost Galaxy’s playtesting. This page becomes a real review with photos the week we have our copy.
