Hellbreak aspects explained
Hellbreak sorts its cards into five aspects: Cursed, Deranged, Feral, Revenant, and Void.
If you have played a TCG with a color pie or an element system, this is Hellbreak’s version of it: aspect icons are what your Loyalty requirement checks against when you try to play a card, and your Vault is where those icons accumulate.
The official site gives each aspect its own identity.
- Cursed
- Rituals, resilience, and control. Cursed cards are built to endure and outlast whatever gets thrown at them.
- Deranged
- Madness and visions that spill into unpredictable violence. Instability is the payoff here, not the liability.
- Feral
- Instinct, speed, and savage strength. Feral cards favor acting first and following through with brute force.
- Revenant
- Built on vengeance and a refusal to stay dead. A Revenant card treats dying as unfinished business rather than an ending.
- Void
- Cosmic power and things that were never human. Science, spellcraft, and forces past ordinary comprehension.

What we still cannot tell you
Which monsters map to which aspect, or whether a monster can pull from more than one. The one confirmed connection is Death Angels: the Colossal Death Angel, named in an official reveal post as the set’s "second Feral monster card," confirms that Death Angels belong to the Feral aspect and that at least one other Feral monster exists in Dawn of Terror.
Do not extrapolate the rest from these five identities alone, tempting as that is with this much flavor text to work with. Card Reveal Season is ongoing and weekly. Check back as reveals land, or watch our news page for each one as it happens.
